About This Game After losing everyone he ever loved, Harvey is driven to revenge... but will his hatred cause him to become no different than the ones he is trying to stop? Dawn's Light features tons of enthralling puzzles, unique dungeon designs, an epic storyline and an intuitive journal system. Explore over 25 islands across 5 different continents in this massive quest. 7aa9394dea Title: Dawn's LightGenre: Adventure, Indie, RPG, StrategyDeveloper:John WizardPublisher:John WizardRelease Date: 1 Sep, 2016 Dawn's Light Free Download [Patch] I adore this game. The dialog and story is hilarious but still interesting (it's funny but doesn't cross into slapstick silly). The fights are a nice balance of not being too hard but not just clicking through (if you're someone who likes games where you die a lot, then you'll probably want a different RPG). The puzzles are great. It's really a very fun game, and a long one (I got at least 20 hours of gameplay) but doesn't feel like it drags on. You can probably find a demo online if you want to give it a try before buying, but it's definitely worth a try. If it's on sale, then it's a steal! And I liked Slime Island!. Time well spent. I enjoyed the humor of the main characters interactions, as well as the overall feel of the game. There were many side quests and stories that did not just feel like "go here get this item" boom done no other point. Each new area I opened for side quests also had different ways of going about the objectives of the quest. I never felt bored with the game which is hard to say since I have played an incredible amount of rpgs over the years. They had fishing, a battle arena a secret organization to join, different outfits for the characters to unlock a decent story with multiple endings as well as many places to save which I definitely appreciate being a person who saves games excessively. I think the thing I liked most about the game was that it was open to you at all times. You can miss over a side quest but do not lose on the opportunity to go back and get it. I never felt like oh great I can never do everything in this game in one try it was more oh I can explore more and do side things to lead to something better. Thankfully it was true. The more side quests you do the more items you receive, which in turn lead to better items at the end of the game. It helps you quite a bit to beat the last boss so all of your work wasn't for naught. What was nice as well was I did not feel like I was like just doing busy work. I felt like this had more opportunities in it for funny banter, character development as well as a way to further explore the world I was in as well as the people in it. One of the things I would get excited about would be when I would find a letter in the game. You take the letter to the post office and they decipher it for you and tell you to whom the letter is for. Then a map opens to the location of the place and you get to then explore more areas. After entering a dungeon I would make sure to check every area hoping to find a new letter. A lot of the times I would leave the dungeon and start on the letter before even finishing the place because I was so excited to see what would open up from it. The battles are challenging and the monsters level up with you so I ended up resting a lot, but there is a side quest which opens up an island of snow, and once you complete the objective, you can sleep there for 25 gold. Which is the cheapest place to rest in the game. A lot of the time since money was scarce in the beginning in particular, I would keep going back to that island to rest. Another thing that was great was once you killed a monster (except on slime island )they would be gone forever. So you would get the money the xp and not have to deal with them again. By the end areas of the game I was max level of 50 and had enough money to where I didn't need to fight the monsters at all which was a nice reward I thought. This is an incredibly rewarding game especially, one to be had on an rpg maker. I just wished I had played it sooner so I knew to buy Dawn's Light 2. For some reason this game isn't available to buy right now and I have no idea why. I hope that changes in the future with reviews like mine to show that even now people are wanting to buy more of the products created by this developer.. The most amazing game on earth. LOVE IT.. This is a fun little game. A bit satirical, it is a blast and deals with some of the usual tropes. A guy goes out to do a good deed, returns to find his friends dead (at what might have been his own assassination), and decides to go off and find the culprits and bring them to justice. Along the way, he has to deal with own insecurities, and the possibility that his brother might be out there... waiting.... The striking thing about this game is how well organized it is. Information is easy to find, you're never left wondering what to do next, and there is a good balance in the types of gameplay, so you're always doing something new.The story isn't much, but serves its required function of explaining what you have to do, and why. There is significant dialogue between the characters, which is mostly for humor (which it does successfully), and little else.Puzzles are a primary feature of the game. They are just challenging enough to be fun, and no two are alike.Quests come in the form of islands. When you recieve a quest, you unlock that island on the map. The game has four seas full of islands to explore, with a nice balance of required and optional quests.Progress through the game is nice and tidy. Nothing takes too long, and you always feel like you have a choice of which quest to take on next.Overall, this is a very well made game, and I recommend it highly.. a lot of fun for a cheap old school style but quite basic rpg. I particularly like how you can either avois the mobs or fight them, but if you fight them you get bonuses, and they dont just randomly spawn as they do on FF titlesKudos to the developers. I thought my review took, but maybe not. In any case, if you're wanting something that's closer to the SNES JRPG feel, this game's for you. Sure, it has the RPG Maker feel to it, but JW has crafted an excellent game here with a great story, excellent side quests, some fun and some frustrating puzzles.
